2024-01-23  -  The new President and her team were sworn on this day.  

Thereafter, our Guest Speaker, Dr. Anup Shah, discussed issues related to acid reflux, ulcers and other illnesses related to stomach.

 

2023-02-27  -  Our guest Speaker: Raj Maruvada (CPA) discussed Latest Tax Law Developments and Selected Topics.

2024-03-26  - Our guest speaker Krupa Ruparel enlightened us on "Journey of Soul": a journey that transcends religious boundaries and delves into the essence of life and death.
2024-04-09  -  Our guest speaker, Christopher Nigro, spoke about Cochlear Implants and how he has overcome his hearing disability with innovation of technology.
2024-04-23  -  Some very talented singers from the ICC Karaoke group were invited to entertain our HSCSJ members with popular Bollywood songs.

2024-05-08  -  HSCSJ Bus Trip to Resorts Casino,  Atlantic City.

 

2024-05-14  -  Dr. Raj Darji presented on general dental issues. Dr. Darji received his Doctorate in Dentistry from Midwestern University.  He is a member of the American Dental Association.
2024-05-28  -  Officer Rich Hernandez is a Master Patrolman, with over 23 years with Evesham Police.  Officer Hernandez provided fraud prevention in areas such as identity theft, bad checks, scams and other white collar frauds.
2024-06-11  -  Dr. Prachi Patel is a board certified foot and ankle surgeon.  Dr. Patel is trained extensively in diabetic limb salvage procedures, elective and non-elective foot and ankle surgery which includes reconstructive foot and rearfoot procedures.  She is also trained in wound care, sports medicine, trauma, diabetic foot care, geriatrics, pediatrics and dermatopathology.  She also completed a fellowship at Bako dermatopathology program.

2024-06-15 to 07-02 HSCSJ Scandinavia Tour

(Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway)

Scandinavia and the Nordic region are historical and geographical regions covering much of Northern Europe. As a whole, Scandinavia has some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world and is enriched with its own culture and way of life, which draws in millions of people every year.

2024-06-25  -  Dr. Veena Gandhi well known in the community as an obstetrician & gynecologist and a social worker with ITA presented on YOGA, Science of Eternal Joy & Fulfillment.
2024-07-09  -  Dr. Garima Thappar Kohli is an experienced board certified Endocrinologist with extensive experience in hospital and clinical settings.  Areas of interest include Thyroid disease, Diabetes, Adrenal disease, Pituitary tumors and other hormonal disorders. 
 

2024-07-17  -  Day Trip to Cow Sanctuary, Siddhachalam Jain Temple & Balaji Temple

2024-07-23  -  The members enjoyed BINGO GAME FUN NIGHT.  Proceeds were distributed as prizes.

2024-08-11  -  HSCSJ Annual Picnic at Red Bank Park, National Park, NJ

2024-08-27  -  Our Guest Speaker, Nidhi Aggarwal presented on Your Golden Years - Eating Well as You Age!  Dr. Nidhi Agrawal has been a Registered Dietitian for over 25 years.

2024-09-10  -   Alzheimers Association presented on "What to watch for in yourself and others".  Alzheimer's causes changes in memory, thinking and behavior that are not normal aging.  We learnt about the difference between normal aging and Alzheimer's, common warning signs, importance of early detection and benefits of diagnosis and next steps and expectations for the diagnostic process.

2024-09-24  -  Chandan Modi & his students entertained us with their melodious bhajans, ghazals and Bollywood songs.

2024-10-8 -  Mr. Alan Gudis of BGA Insurance group made a presentation on existing plans, new plans, and changes for 2025.  Mr. Gudis also provided an introduction to BGA Insurance Group.  Flu Shots were also administered by Meeta Chauhan who works for ShopRite to interested members.

2024-10-22  -  Dr. Surendra Bagaria a practicing cardiologist in South Jersey for the last 35 years held an Interactive Discussion on Heart Issues.  Dr. Bagaria is a non-invasive cardiologist and board certified in Cardiology, Critical care, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. His office numbers are (856) 589-0300 and (856) 768-6600. 
2024-11-3 -  Diwali Function - Seniors Got Talent 2024 Our theme was "Seniors Got Talent 2024" where our very own seniors entertained us!  This was a first of its kind program which was thoroughly enjoyed by all!    
2024-11-26  -   Dr. Surendra Sheth - Fall Prevention -  Sudden fall is the biggest health risk to senior citizens, sometimes it can cause serious injuries.  Dr. Sheth talked about preventive health and falls in senior citizens.
2024-12-15  -  ​HSCSJ held its 18th Annual Function on Sunday, December 15th, 2024 at ICC.  Members enjoyed our Annual Musical Bonanza presented by the renowned Sur Sangam Group, ST Patel & Harini Desai.  Our emcee Krupa Ruparel Sindhvad, kept the energy alive and made the event even more special.  A couple of surprise dances by Sumi & Jitu Patel and their assistants and a game organized by Krupa kept the audience captivated.
